n the shadow of the mountain fittingly called “Fairy Landing” , The Temptation is set in a cosy corner of the most beautiful area of Da Nang. Shaded by the lush gardens of the courtyard, the spacious yet intimate dining area provides air-conditioned seating for 70 in gracefully ornamented comfort.

Within this elegant ambiance, guests will be treated to a menu that offers dishes created with the sumptuous sophistication of French cuisine, highlighted by the piquant freshness of Vietnamese ingredients and culinary culture.

The Story of Chef La Thua An

Vietnamese by birth, Chef An and his family left their home in Hue when he was only 6 years old. While they had the good fortune to be able to join an uncle who had already established himself in France, the move necessitated a change in career for his father. Though he had been the Principal of a school in Hue, in France his employment options were few, so he took work at a Chinese restaurant that belonged to a friend of the family.

School for young An was French, but home remained Vietnamese. By the age of 13, he had begun his culinary education, helping to cook the Cantonese style dishes served by the restaurant his family worked at.

By the age of 17, he had enrolled in culinary school at August Escoffier, where he became known as an excellent student. The mix of Chinese, Vietnamese, and French influences he had been raised with inspired a bit of rebelliousness in the more traditional French setting of the school, but his eagerness to learn as well as his willingness to question earned him the respect of his instructors.

Upon graduating, the quest to hone his craft took him to some of the finest resorts in Asia. Running luxury Restaurant from New Caledonia to St Maarten, he finally returned to Vietnam in 2008. Capturing culinary hearts at the restaurants of some of the finest resorts here, in 2018 his need for creative expression led him to open his own restaurant in Da Nang, The Temptation.

Art is a reflection of the artist, and The Temptation is Chef An’s canvas. The exotic flavors of his origins, the rich complexity of his upbringing, and the inventive curiosity of his nature are tempered and brought together by the refined sophistication of haute cuisine. The results are dishes that tempt not just the palate, but the soul.

To ensure a pleasant and refined dining experience for all guests, we kindly invite you to observe our dress code guidelines.

Gentlemen are encouraged to dress in a comfortable and refined manner. Tank tops are kindly discouraged.

Ladies are invited to choose elegant and comfortable attire; very short or overly tight shorts are best avoided.

We respectfully ask guests not to wear flip-flops or beachwear while dining.

We are excited to welcome you to The Temptation and want to ensure your experience with us is as smooth as possible. To help us serve you better, we kindly ask that you review our reservation and cancellation guidelines:

1. Reservation Deposit

To secure your reservation, we kindly require a deposit of 1,000,000 VND/ booking. For the special date 1,000,000VND/pax is applied.

This deposit will be fully deducted to your final bill on the day of dining.

2. Cancellation Terms

Our cancellation policy is calculated based on your reserved dining time, with refunds processed to your bank account within 15–30 working days.

A small utility fee will be deducted from your deposit upon refund.

Cancellations made:

- more than 3 days (72 hours) in advance receive a full refund.
- within 3 days (72 hours), a 50% refund applies
- within 1 day (24 hours), the deposit is non-refundable

3. Table Holding Time

For bookings secured with a deposit, we are pleased to hold your table for up to 30 minutes beyond your reserved time.

If we do not receive notice of any delay, we regret to inform you that we may need to release your reservation to accommodate other guests.

Our policy allows us to serve all guests with the quality and attention they deserve. We appreciate your understanding!
